Man dies at construction site east of Hamiota

A 55-year-old man is dead after he accidentally backed the skid steer he was driving into a deep hole at a construction site east of Hamiota on Jan 21, RCMP say.

Yellowhead RCMP were called to a construction site just after 1 p.m., they said in a news release on Jan 22.

Police, emergency services and firefighters all responded to a report that the driver of the skid steer had backed it into a deep hole that had been dug.
