As the war in Ukraine intensifies, both sides have escalated airstrikes deep into each other's territory. Ukraine launched a massive drone attack on Russia, targeting military-linked infrastructure including Wildberries logistics hubs, causing significant damage and casualties across 17 regions. 

Russian forces struck the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's hometown, hitting the country's largest steel plant operated by ArcelorMittal. The conflict spills into neighbouring Romania with a drone shot down in its airspace, signalling a dangerous expansion of warfare beyond frontlines and impacting economic and military infrastructure.
