King Charles Extends Prayers and Support to All Affected Communities

In his message of condolence, King Charles III stated that he remembers all those affected by the disasters in Sri Lanka and across the South and Southeast Asian region, and prays for strength for all affected communities.

As Sri Lanka faces severe destruction caused by floods and landslides from Cyclone many international countries and organizations are offering support and relief. King Charles’ message further states:

He and his family are deeply saddened by the devastation in the South and Southeast Asian region. He can imagine the suffering and hardship of those who have lost lives, livelihoods, and homes.

He expresses deep condolences to the families of those who died in the disaster. He also stands with those who lost their homes and those waiting for news of missing loved ones.

He praises the courage of frontline workers who continue rescue efforts and essential services despite immense difficulty.

He remembers all affected parties and prays for strength for communities in India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The message notes that such disasters remind us of the importance of maintaining nature’s balance.
