Bangladesh captain Litton Das decided to avoid answering a question related to the T20 World Cup 2026, saying it isn't safe for him to do so.

Bangladesh's participation in the tournament has come under a cloud following the country's cricket board's decision to request for a shift of their venues from India, citing security concerns.

This was done after Mustafizur Rahman was released by KKR from his IPL contract, forcing the Bangladesh cricket board (BCB) to request the ICC for a change in the venue. At the moment, ICC are reportedly unwilling to make a change to the venues.

Speaking after the BPL game on Jan 20, Litton was quizzed about the wickets that were available during the tournament and if it was ideal preparation for the upcoming ICC event. The Bangladesh captain responded by talking about the uncertainty regarding Bangladesh's current situation.

“Are you sure we are going to play the World Cup? From my side, I am uncertain, everyone is uncertain. I think the whole of Bangladesh is uncertain at this moment. No answer. I understand what question you are going to ask. That is not safe for me. No answer,” said Litton.
