Indian-origin doctor jailed in US for secretly filming staff in hospital restroom

Advait Deshmukh, an Indian-origin doctor and former medical resident at ProMedica Toledo Hospital, was sentenced to six months in jail for secretly recording women in an employee restroom using a hidden camera. 

He pleaded guilty to voyeurism and attempted evidence tampering, and will register as a sex offender for 15 years, attend therapy, and remain on probation until 2029. The recordings, discovered in 2025, involved at least six identified victims, with possible incidents dating back to 2018. His residency was not renewed after the case.
