Jamia issues 'last warning' to students on hunger strike, threatens action

Jamia Millia Islamia has issued a final warning to Rehan Khan and Ebin Basil, two students on an indefinite hunger strike demanding restoration of the dissolved student union. 

Despite university assurances to hold elections within 15 days of approving the union constitution, protests persist, prompting online classes and mid-term exams extension until November 8. 

Tensions escalated with police blocking campus entry and detentions during protests. The university revoked disciplinary actions but protesters insist on firm deadlines, protection from further sanctions, and resignation of the chief security adviser.
