Dharapuram, Madurantakam bypolls on October 6 after AIADMK MLAs quit

The Election Commission announced by-elections on October 6 for Tamil Nadu's Dharapuram and Madurantakam Assembly seats, vacated by AIADMK MLAs who joined TVK. Concurrent bypolls are scheduled in West Bengal, Puducherry, and Assam, following resignations or deaths of incumbents. 

Notably, West Bengal's Nandigram and Rejinagar seats, Puducherry's Thattanchavady, and Assam's Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency will see contests. 

Some vacant seats in Meghalaya and West Bengal remain unscheduled. The Model Code of Conduct is in effect for affected areas.
