We will make Namal Rajapaksa President in 2029, says Ven. Iththekande Sadatissa

The Aragalaya protest movement was orchestrated to serve the interests of foreign intelligence agencies and overseas organisations linked to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), according to Ven. Iththekande Sadatissa Thera, General Secretary of the Ravana Balaya organisation.
Addressing a public meeting organised by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) in Ja-Ela, the Thera said that Namal Rajapaksa would "certainly become the President of Sri Lanka in 2029."
He said that leaders who had protected the country could not be intimidated with the threat of imprisonment and alleged that the present Government was steadily failing.
"At the next election, we must work with utmost dedication to strengthen Namal Rajapaksa, the only leader capable of rebuilding the country's future with modern technology from where former President Mahinda Rajapaksa left it," he said.
Recalling the last Presidential Election, the Thera said the SLPP had faced severe challenges and that Namal Rajapaksa had stepped forward to contest at a critical moment to prevent the collapse of the party.
"That courageous decision is now yielding results. We are confident that Namal Rajapaksa will become President in 2029. The Maha Sangha, religious leaders and the people are creating the necessary environment to achieve this objective," he added.
The Thera further alleged that the Aragalaya movement had been created to serve the interests of foreign intelligence agencies, religious groups and overseas LTTE organisations.
He claimed that those who had knowingly or unknowingly supported these forces had contributed to the country's decline, adding that many who had ridiculed others on social media during the protests were now facing economic hardships.
He also said that farmers were experiencing the consequences of believing what he described as false propaganda against leaders who had once supported the agricultural sector by supplying fertiliser at subsidised prices.
"The only leader capable of putting Sri Lanka back on the right path and rebuilding its future is Namal Rajapaksa," he said.
