We are not against Hindi, only its imposition: Udhayanidhi Stalin

Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin emphasized that rejecting Hindi imposition does not mean hostility to the language or separation from India, defending the state's two-language policy. 

He opposed the Supreme Court's directive to establish Navodaya Vidyalayas, arguing Tamil Nadu already supports disadvantaged students with similar schools and criticized withholding of Rs 3,548 crore in funds linked to language policy disputes. 

The Supreme Court urged cooperative federalism, allowing Hindi instruction but respecting Tamil Nadu's educational autonomy amid ongoing legal debate.
