Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay urged the Centre to exempt Tamil Nadu from the NEET medical entrance exam, arguing it disadvantages rural and financially weaker students, and called for admissions based on Class 12 marks.

He also raised concerns about the proposed parliamentary delimitation based on the 2011 Census, fearing it would reduce southern states' political representation despite their success in population control. Vijay emphasized fair treatment and requested guarantees to protect the South’s voice in Parliament.
