US warship arrives at Colombo Port

The USS Tulsa, a littoral combat ship designed for operations close to shore, arrived at Colombo Port on August 27.

Built for speed and multi-mission capability, the vessel is able to operate in both shallow waters and the open ocean, representing America’s advanced maritime strength.

The ship last visited Sri Lanka in 2021 during joint naval exercises with the Sri Lanka Navy. This time, the USS Tulsa has arrived at Colombo Port to refuel and replenish supplies before resuming its Indo-Pacific mission.
