Supreme Court judges share experiences with the Indian High Commissioner

A knowledge-exchange and interaction workshop for ten senior judges of the Sri Lankan Supreme Court was held in India, organized by the Supreme Court of India and the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal.
The participating judges shared their experiences and learnings with the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha.
The program took place from Dec 8 to 12, jointly organized by the Supreme Court of India (New Delhi) and the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal. The Sri Lankan delegation was led by Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena.
During a briefing session held at the Sri Lankan Supreme Court on Dec 18, the judges shared key experiences and insights from the workshop with High Commissioner Santosh Jha and expressed gratitude to the Government of India and the Indian judiciary.
The program was conducted in two phases: three days of training at the National Judicial Academy in Bhopal, followed by two days of events in New Delhi. Discussions covered constitutional law, climate justice and environmental protection, technological changes in judicial services, human rights and international legal obligations, and media and public perceptions of the judiciary.
