Sri Lanka Red Cross Assists Citizens Seeking Contact With Relatives in Middle East
13-Mar-2026.
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society has issued an emergency contact number to assist Sri Lankan citizens who are facing difficulties contacting family members residing in Middle Eastern countries, including Iran.
The escalation of hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has intensified the conflict situation in the region, affecting several neighbouring countries.
As a result, many Sri Lankans have encountered difficulties communicating with relatives and loved ones living in the Middle East.
The Red Cross has requested affected individuals to contact +94 70 378 8614 for assistance.
The organisation also stated that necessary arrangements will be made through the International Red Cross and Red Crescent network to facilitate communication with family members in the region.
