Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding bilateral talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with uranium cooperation expected to take center stage. 

Uzbekistan's vast reserves could provide India with a reliable and diversified source of nuclear fuel, supporting New Delhi's target of reaching 100 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity by 2047. 

Beyond Russia and Kazakhstan, India seeks to diversify its energy supply while expanding bilateral cooperation across critical minerals, defense, connectivity, and energy.
