Playing near home, boy, 5, kicked 'like a football' by man in Bengaluru

A five-year-old was playing near his grandmother's home in Bengaluru when a man came from behind and suddenly kicked him 'like a football', as described by his mother. 

The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera installed in the area.

The incident took place on Dec 14 in the Thyagarajanagar area, when the child, Neiv Jain, was playing with other children. 

As seen in the video, the man, identified as Ranjan, 35, suddenly kicked the boy from behind, causing him to fall to the ground. 

The child is seen lying or sitting on the road immediately afterward, while the man walks away. 

The child's mother, Deepika, while speaking to reporters, said the man had assaulted other children in the area. She added that the man is said to be a gym trainer, but they do not know much about him.
