Plan to Seek Colonial Reparations from the UK – Minister Vijitha Herath

Minister Vijitha Herath stated that Sri Lanka plans to seek compensation from the United Kingdom for property damage, theft and loss of life during the colonial period.

He noted that similar sanctions have previously been imposed by the US and Canada and reiterated that Sri Lanka will continue to act according to international law.
