Opposition Leader meets Tamil and Muslim MPs

A special meeting between Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and Parliamentarians representing the Northern and Eastern Provinces was held recently at the Office of the Opposition Leader within the Parliament complex.

The main objective of the meeting was to identify the various social and economic issues faced by the people of the Northern and Eastern Provinces in their day-to-day lives.

During the meeting, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa listened extensively to the concerns of Tamil-speaking people and assured the Parliamentarians that he would take necessary action, as the Opposition Leader, to seek possible solutions to their problems.

He also said that he would personally intervene and take action as Opposition Leader to bring the essential issues faced by the people to the Government’s attention and secure appropriate solutions.

Members of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi, All Ceylon Makkal Congress and the Relo party, as well as MP Arjuna Ramanathan, participated in the meeting.
