Minister Nalinda Meets Chief Incumbent of Kataragama Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharaya

Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr Nalinda Jayatissa met Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminda Nayaka Thera, Chief Incumbent of the historic Kataragama Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharaya and Chief Sanghanayake of Ruhunu Magampattuwa, to inquire about his well-being and receive blessings.

During the meeting held at the temple premises, discussions focused on the country's current economic and social issues, as well as ongoing developments and future initiatives within the health sector.

The Nayaka Thera offered blessings and guidance to the Minister and the accompanying delegation.

Expressing gratitude, Minister Jayatissa stated that the advice provided by the venerable monk, particularly regarding the welfare of the people and the social responsibilities of the Buddhist clergy, would serve as a valuable source of strength for the Government's future direction.

Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development R.M. Jayawardena, Chairman of the Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha H.N.D. Herath and several others also attended the event.
