Major landslide in Alawathugoda; several missing

A landslide has occurred in the Angumbura area under the Alawathugoda Police Division due to the prevailing unstable weather.
Police stated that the landslide occurred in the Rambukelle area along the Angumbura–Alawathugoda road.
Although there are reports of displacement and fatalities, confirmed details have not yet been released.
Several individuals are reported missing.
Relief teams have not yet been able to reach the area.
Alawathugoda Police are conducting further investigations.
