Magisterial Inquiry into Death of Kapila Chandrasena Postponed

The Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court has postponed the magisterial inquiry into the death of former SriLankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena until June 9.

The inquiry was taken up before Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara. During the proceedings, statements were recorded from legal representatives who had appeared on behalf of Chandrasena in a case filed against him by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The court also recorded a statement from the Officer-in-Charge of the Kollupitiya Police Station and postponed further examination of evidence until the next hearing date.
