Indian Emergency Medical Assistance Arrives in Sri Lanka

An Indian Air Force C-17A aircraft carrying emergency medical aid arrived in Sri Lanka.

The shipment includes essential medicines, medical equipment and field facilities for ongoing rescue and relief efforts.

Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha formally handed over the consignment, which was received by Major General Daral de Silva and a military team.

Two fully equipped field hospitals designed for rapid deployment in emergencies are included, with one to be set up in Welimada.

In addition, 73 medical professionals from India, including doctors, specialists, anesthetists and other health experts, have arrived to assist affected communities.
