India condemned the attack on French UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, where a French soldier was killed and three wounded, allegedly by Iran-backed Hezbollah. India urged Lebanon to investigate and ensure the safety of UN personnel. French President Macron also condemned the attack during talks with Lebanese leaders. 

The incident follows a recent ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon after Hezbollah's rocket and drone attacks triggered Israeli-US strikes on Iran. Investigations into this deliberate attack by non-state actors are ongoing.
