Eleven new diplomats present credentials to President

Seven newly appointed ambassadors and four High Commissioners to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat on August 25, 2026.
The new diplomats represent Brazil, Bangladesh, China, Austria, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Brunei Darussalam, Sudan, Guyana and Panama.
Ambassadors Jorge Geraldo Cadri of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Wei Huaxiang of the People’s Republic of China, Robert Jisch of the Republic of Austria, Eric Meyer of the United States, Francisco Manuel Cambrés Hernández of the Dominican Republic, Professor Mohamed Abdullah Ali Eldoom of the Republic of Sudan and Nubiela Yanarith Ayala of the Republic of Panama presented their credentials to the President.
High Commissioner T.M. Salahuddin Mahmud of Bangladesh, High Commissioner Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso of Ghana, High Commissioner Siti Arnisfarisa Md Jaini of Brunei Darussalam and High Commissioner Dharamkumar Seeraj of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana also presented their credentials to the President.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath and Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake were also present on the occasion.
