Premadasa criticised the government for lacking a strategic plan to address future challenges and accused the administration led by President Anura Kumara of managing the country without proper preparation.

He also claimed that the import of low-quality coal has reduced electricity generation by 135 megawatts, ultimately placing the burden on electricity consumers.

Premadasa further warned that even fertiliser distribution for farmers might soon be subjected to a QR code system.
