CIABOC Questions MP Rishad Bathiudeen Over Alleged Financial Irregularities

Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress and Member of Parliament Rishad Bathiudeen appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on Jan 5 in response to a summons.

The Commission is conducting investigations into alleged financial irregularities related to the leasing of a building in Rajagiriya during the previous government for the operation of the Ministry of Agriculture. 

MP Bathiudeen had been summoned to record a statement in connection with the alleged fraud.

It is noteworthy that during the previous administration, Rishad Bathiudeen served as a Cabinet Minister.
