Chemmani Mass Grave Excavation Identifies 240 Skeletons

On 6 September, the second phase of excavations at the Chemmani–Ariyalai Hindu cemetery mass grave was completed under the supervision of Jaffna Additional Magistrate Selvanayagam Lenin Kumar.

So far, 240 human skeletons have been identified. Excavations were carried out over 45 days, as permitted by the court.
