1,115 Suspects Arrested Nationwide Under Anti-Narcotics Operation

A total of 1,115 suspects were arrested the day before November 15 under the nationwide anti-narcotics campaign conducted under the theme “The Entire Nation Together.” This national drug eradication operation has been in effect since 30 October.

The program, implemented by the police, aims to weaken drug distribution networks, eliminate demand for narcotics, expedite enforcement, rehabilitate those addicted to drugs, and ultimately eradicate drug use entirely.

According to police, 1,115 suspects were arrested during operations carried out across the country, which included approximately 1,131 raids. The police also seized 754 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ICE), 531 grams of heroin, and 8 kilograms 953 grams of cannabis.

Detention orders have been issued against 31 arrested suspects, while 63 individuals identified as drug-dependent have been referred to rehabilitation centres. The Police Media Division further noted that since 30 October, a total of 18,909 suspects has been arrested.
