TV actor Ashish Kapoor arrested on rape charges in Pune

Television actor Ashish Kapoor was arrested by Delhi Police on September 3 on rape charges after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her inside a washroom during a house party in Delhi in the second week of August.

Police said Kapoor came in contact with the woman through Instagram and later invited her to a party at a friend’s house, where the incident is alleged to have occurred. The investigation is ongoing.

Ashish Kapoor is a well-known face in Indian television, having appeared in several popular shows over the years, including Saraswatichandra.
