Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam names Vijay chief ministerial pick

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam on Dec 11 passed four key resolutions formally declaring Vijay as its chief ministerial candidate and granting him full authority over alliance decisions ahead of the upcoming elections.

According to the resolutions, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam will set up a Special Committee for Election Alliance Negotiations, but the final call on all alliance-related matters will rest solely with Vijay.

The party said it would welcome only those parties that accept Vijay’s leadership and are willing to join under his command.
