India-Sri Lanka Apparel Trade Exhibition Held in Colombo

An India-Sri Lanka Apparel Trade Exhibition, organised by Weltex India with the support of the High Commission of India in Colombo, was held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo on August 6, as part of the ‘Intex Sri Lanka 2026’ international apparel exhibition.

More than 80 Indian business enterprises, export promotion councils and industry associations participated in the event, showcasing India’s capabilities in apparel manufacturing.

A special pavilion titled ‘Incredible Textiles of India’, established with the support of several leading export promotion councils, was a key attraction at the exhibition.

Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha visited the pavilion and interacted with exhibitors and industry representatives.
