Customs Earns 2.115 Trillion Rupees in 10 Months

The Sri Lanka Customs Department has earned Rs. 2.115 trillion in revenue during the first ten months of 2025, surpassing targets by Rs. 300 billion.
According to an official report, this represents the highest annual revenue collection by the department, which is the main agency generating state tax revenue.
Out of the total, Rs. 630 billion was collected from motor vehicle imports.
The department expects to achieve Rs. 300 billion more than the annual revenue target by the end of the year.
