Rupee Weakens Further Against US Dollar

The Sri Lankan rupee depreciated further against the US dollar compared to the exchange rates of June 4.

According to exchange rate data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on June 5, the selling rate of the US dollar rose to Rs. 342.

Compared with rates published on June 4, June 4, the buying rate increased from Rs. 330.10 to Rs. 332.27, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 340.25 to Rs. 342.00.

The rupee also weakened against several other major foreign currencies, including the Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc, Bahraini dinar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Omani rial.
