Meeting Between Cuban Ambassador and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka

Patricia Lasara Peco Guerra, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Sri Lanka, on March 26 met Prime Minister Kalanithi Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Both sides reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between the two countries and emphasised the importance of bilateral relations. Discussions focused on expanding educational collaboration, human resource development initiatives, and exchange programmes. Cooperation in sustainable agricultural practices and sports development was also highlighted.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister’s Secretary, Additional Secretary Mrs. Sagarika Bogahawatte, and Foreign Ministry Latin America and Caribbean Division Director Nayagam Rathnasinghe Gokularangan.
