India to host Afghanistan for one Test and a three-match ODI series in June 2026

India will face Afghanistan for only the second time in Test cricket and for the first time since 2018 when the two sides meet in June 2026, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on March 2.
The tour will feature a one-off Test followed by a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series.
The Test will be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh from June 6 to June 10, with play starting at 9:30 AM IST. It will be the first Test hosted at the venue.
The teams will then shift to the 50-over format. The ODI series begins in Dharamshala on June 14, followed by matches in Lucknow on June 17 and Chennai on June 20. All three games will start at 1:30 PM IST.
