One stabbed in the chest in ByWard Market

Ottawa police are investigating an incident of stabbing took place on the late night of April 11 in the ByWard Market.

Police said they responded to the area near William and George streets around 11 p.m.

Paramedics said they treated a 30-year old man for a stab wound to the chest and later took him to hospital in critical condition.  Police, however, said the man's injuries were non-life-threatening and that an investigation is ongoing. As of afternoon on April 12, police had made no mentions of an arrest.
