The MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais police service is asking some residents to remain home on June 21 after several roads were closed due to flooding in the Saint-Pierre-de-Wakefield area of Val-des-Monts, Que., including a section of Route 307.

The Municipality of Val-des-Monts wrote just after midnight on June 21 that severe thunderstorms overnight had caused the flooding and teams on the ground were in the process of securing the roads.

Part of Route 307 was closed around 11:20 p.m. on June 20, according to Quebec's Ministry of Transporation website. Police confirmed to Radio-Canada that Route 307, along with several others, remained closed on the morning of June 21.
