RCMP investigating shooting of youth in Fort McPherson

RCMP are investigating a shooting in Fort McPherson, N.W.T. that sent a 14-year-old victim out of the community for treatment. 

In a news release on September 9, RCMP said they received reports of shots being fired on Charles Koe Road shortly before 4 a.m. on September 7. 

Officers attended the scene and found a 14-year-old victim with a gunshot wound. The youth is now reported to be in stable condition after being transported to the health centre and later out of the community for medical treatment. 

RCMP said they haven't made any arrests but are investigating the incident.
