Ottawa spending $3.7B to build thousands of new military housing units

Defence Minister David McGuinty announced a $3.7-billion plan on February 24 to build more housing for Canada's military.

The government plans to add 6,000 more units in 25 communities where the Canadian Armed Forces operate.

That's in addition to 800 new units already underway.
