Man fatally stabbed in Bayshore area

Ottawa police say a suspect is in custody after a man was fatally stabbed on Penny Drive in the city's Bayshore neighborhood on the evening of November 17.

First responders were called to the scene around 6:45 p.m., police said. The victim was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition and succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Police announced around 11:30 p.m. that they have one person in custody.

No further details have been released about either the victim or the suspect. Police said they were still contacting the victim's next of kin that night.
