Man dead in apparent stabbing on St. Laurent Boulevard

A man is dead after an apparent stabbing on St. Laurent Boulevard on October 2, Ottawa police said.

Police and paramedics were called to a bus stop in front of an apartment building at 500 St. Laurent Blvd. around 6:50 a.m., where they found an adult male with critical injuries. Police said the man had "apparent stab wounds."

On October 2 evening, police identified the victim as 55-year-old Justin James Weir. He was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
