A court injunction obtained by Elections Alberta on April 30 has forced an Alberta separatist group to shut down an online database built from an electoral list that contained personal information of millions of Albertans.

The database, designed as a campaign tool for the Alberta independence movement, was pulled down as new details of Elections Alberta's investigation into the breach came to light.

After a brief, hastily arranged court hearing, Court of King's Bench Justice John Little granted Elections Alberta a temporary injunction against a pro-sovereignty group called the Centurion Project.

The Centurion Project posted the database, which was based on information from a June 2025 electors list containing the personal information of all individuals who were registered and eligible to vote in provincial elections in Alberta at that time.
