Alberta Premier Danielle Smith spoke about her government's proposal for a new one-million-barrel-a-day pipeline to the West Coast.

Danielle Smith has just confirmed in a social media post that tonight’s announcement is unveiling the proposed route for a new oil pipeline to the West Coast. 

She also wrote on her X account in a post at 6 p.m. that she will be introducing industry partners for the project. She also said she will explain how the province will “clear the way for rapid expansion of Alberta’s energy industry.
