82-year-old dead after two-vehicle collision in Yarmouth County

An 82-year-old was killed in a head-on collision in Yarmouth County on the afternoon of February 27 and a man has been arrested for impaired driving related to the incident. 

According to a news release, Yarmouth Rural RCMP and other emergency responders were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision in South Ohio on Hardscratch Road at 1:45 p.m. on February 27.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, an 82-year-old man from Arcadia, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Highway 340 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.  The investigation remains ongoing.
