23-year-old driver killed in fiery crash near rail tracks in Windsor

Windsor police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a fiery fatal crash in a normally quiet area on the city’s east side to contact them.

A 23-year-old man died at night on November 14 after his vehicle hit several cement pillars on Pillette Road — where the street ends — just before railway tracks, authorities say.

It happened around 8 p.m. ET. Investigators believe the vehicle erupted into flames after hitting the pillars.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
