1 dead, 1 airlifted to hospital after motorcycle crash in Osgoode

Ottawa paramedics say one person has died and another was airlifted to hospital after a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on September 18 in Osgoode.

Ottawa Fire Services said it responded to a call shortly before 6 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that had flipped onto its roof at the intersection of Cabin Road and Blanchfield Road.

The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene, according to paramedics.

A woman in her 60s, the driver of the vehicle, was taken to the trauma centre at The Ottawa's Hospital's Civic campus in critical condition by an Ornge air ambulance, paramedics said.  

In a news release on September 18, firefighters said they had to extract the lone occupant of the overturned vehicle.
