Prasadam shortage in Sabarimala triggers Keralam govt-Devaswom Board rift

A shortage of aravana payasam at Sabarimala has caused tension between the Kerala government and the Travancore Devaswom Board. The Board limited sales to one tin per devotee due to a 45-day project increasing production capacity before the pilgrimage season. 

Devaswom Minister K Muraleedharan criticized this, arguing the project should have occurred during temple closure or with alternatives, ensuring prasadam availability whenever the shrine is open. Discussions with the Chief Minister about legal actions and oversight are planned.
