Wife of Convicted Soldier Somaratna Rajapakse Sends New Letter to President on Chemmani Killings

The wife of Lance Corporal Somaratne Rajapakse, convicted in the Krishanthi Kumaraswamy murder case, has written again to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 

She said her husband has urged her to reveal previously undisclosed details about the Chemmani mass graves.

She claimed her husband was unfairly trapped in the 1996 case and maintained that senior military officers and even top political leaders were involved. She urged for an independent commission to investigate and deliver justice to the people of Jaffna.
