United States Ready to Assist Sri Lanka’s Rebuilding Efforts

US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs Alison Hooker stated that under President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s leadership, Sri Lanka will rebuild, and the US is ready to assist.

She expressed condolences for the victims of the disaster and said the US is focusing on restarting debt-related discussions, strengthening tourism, expanding trade and maritime activity, and supporting anti-narcotics efforts.

President Dissanayake thanked the US and all friendly nations for support during this crisis.
