Seven Sri Lankans Deported from UAE Return Home

Seven Sri Lankan nationals detained by security authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and later deported have returned to Sri Lanka.
The individuals were reportedly arrested for allegedly storing photographs and videos of drones and missiles used in Middle Eastern conflicts on their mobile phones, as well as for engaging with related online content through likes and comments.
They arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, on May 27 aboard Air Arabia flight 3L-708 from Abu Dhabi.
The deportees have been identified as Isuru Pradeep de Soysa (29) of Ambalangoda, Nilanga Namal Abeywardena (23) of Marapana, Kihan Danushka (33) of Bandaragama, Hevage Kalana Dasala Jayaratne (23) of Borella, Manorathna Arachchige Ishan Harsha Priyantha (27) of Borella, Shahin Abran Nilavdeen (25) of Polonnaruwa, and Fasloon Nisar Abdul Naser (32) of Wattala.
