President Anura congratulates Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara has extended his congratulations to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay and the people of Tamil Nadu, conveying best wishes on behalf of the people of Sri Lanka.

In his message, the President stated that he looks forward to working together within a strong Sri Lanka–India partnership to achieve greater prosperity and progress for both nations.

The congratulatory message was posted on the President’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

He further noted that Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu have long been bound by history, culture, trade, and people-to-people ties spanning generations.

With relations and partnership between Sri Lanka and India continuing to strengthen, he said the future holds significant economic progress and opportunities.

Reiterating his wishes, President Anura Kumara stated that he eagerly anticipates working together under a strong Sri Lanka–India partnership and once again conveyed his best wishes for success to Chief Minister Vijay and the people of Tamil Nadu on behalf of Sri Lankans.
